I did get problems with sound delay via optical, not sure if this is my old graphics card, or the TV, may be fixable with tweaking). I did try an optical cable and did in fact get surround sound, so either the manual's wrong or I read it wrong. (edit: update in the interests of accuracy. The SPDIF only transmits 2 channels according to the manual. Unfortunately, as my receiver is 4k60Hz only, and ARC is only implemented on one of the HDMI sockets that are 2.1, this means I have no way of getting sound via HDMI through the receiver unless I unplug either the PC or the xbox. Both seem to work perfectly with this, which I was relieved about knowing it was only implemented recently. Ran into a problem I had not anticipated with only having the 2 HDMI 2.1 ports though - I was hoping to have both my xbox series S and PC plugged into these, so I could have the 4k with VRR. Just got my 75x85J and very pleased with the picture, and the TV generally.
